Must eat in Malacca

As we know Malacca or Melaka is a place that combination with different races especially the Baba and Nyonya which are the combination Malay with Chinese. According to history, the special race has been growth up since the era of British.

So, at here we may find the pure Baba and Nyonya cuisine besides the Penang.

1. Baba and Nyonya cuisine

I had try at Nyonya Makko Restaurant. I can say that it is the most delicious Baba and Nyonya food I had ever try. It is spicy and sour but it is not too spicy for the one who can't eat too spicy.

Although it is just the simple dish that can be find in Malaysia, but it is really nice and delicious.

Example, the lady fingers with belacan (shrimp sauce) are a bit spicy but you can eat the fresh of the vegetables and it is perfect match with belacan.

You may also order the fried egg. It is not an ordinary fried egg. You may find out it is delicious and nice.
Besides,it also have the meat roll that is very famous.

2. Chicken rice balls

One of Malacca’s most celebrated dishes is chicken rice balls. You’ll never miss this local specialty at Kedai Kopi Chung Wah coffee shop due to the lines of eager diners outside the eatery throughout its opening hours.
Only steamed chicken, together with super soft rice balls and chili sauce are served. The ordering process is very straightforward. Just state the number of persons and you will be served almost immediately. The chicken rice balls were moist, slightly sticky and full of fragrance, so much so you can eat it on its own. Don’t be too picky on its shape as each individual rice ball is tediously hand-rolled. Just imagine the number of rice balls the diligent hawker has to roll daily. The chicken was juicy and the soy-based dipping sauce was delicately salty, with a lingering sweet after-taste.
3. Jonker 88

It is well-known for its Cendol, typically made of coconut milk, green starched noodles with pandan flavouring, shaved ice and palm sugar (Gula Melaka). In addition, it also famous with Nyonya Laksa and Yong Tau Foo. As we see, there is a lots of people keep queue from outside of the shop and you may find the customers come out with the food and keep on finding the table seat.

 4. Satay Celup

This place is also famous with the way to put your satay with sauce. To try this, you need to take long queue from 4 pm although it open at 6 pm.

You may choose the food you want in the fridge with the different stick colour with different price. Then, you put it inside the boiling satay sauce on the table. Try it after it had been cooked.
Lots of famous actor and actress from China, Taiwan and Singapore came here to try it.
